How Animals Experience Healing
When people think about healing, they often think about recovery from an illness or injury. While physical healing is important, animals experience healing on many different levels. Through intuitive communication, I have found that animals often have their own understanding of what healing means and what they need during difficult times.
Animals live very much in the present moment. They are usually less concerned about the future than humans are. When they are unwell, their focus is often on how they feel right now rather than worrying about what may happen next. This can sometimes help them adapt to health challenges in a way that humans find difficult to understand.
Healing is not always the same as curing. An animal may continue to live with a chronic condition and still feel peaceful, comfortable, and emotionally balanced. In these cases, healing may involve reducing stress, increasing comfort, strengthening relationships, or helping the animal feel safe and supported.
Many animals are highly sensitive to the emotions of the people around them. During periods of illness, they may become aware of the fear, sadness, or anxiety their families are experiencing. While it is natural to feel worried when a beloved animal is unwell, maintaining a calm and supportive environment can help the animal feel more relaxed and secure.
Animals often communicate their needs in simple ways. They may want more rest, a change in routine, a quiet space, additional companionship, or simply more time with the people they love. By paying attention to their behaviour and emotional state, we can better understand what supports their healing process.
Intuitive communication can provide additional insight into how an animal is feeling. It does not replace veterinary care, diagnosis, or treatment. However, it can sometimes help us understand an animal's preferences, emotional state, or response to a particular situation. This information can complement professional medical care and contribute to a more complete picture of the animal's wellbeing.
It is also important to remember that healing can occur even when an animal is nearing the end of their life. In these situations, healing may involve finding peace, resolving emotional concerns, strengthening bonds with loved ones, and ensuring the animal feels heard and respected. The goal is not always to extend life but to improve the quality of the time that remains.
Every animal is unique, and their healing journey will be different. By approaching them with patience, compassion, and an open mind, we can better support their physical, emotional, and energetic wellbeing. Sometimes the most valuable thing we can offer is our presence, our understanding, and our willingness to listen.
